Connecting Rods (Breakout)
Problem:
Connecting rods that went through a mechanical breaking process were showing uneven breaks and excessive breakout occurring along the parting line.
Solution:
Create a vision system that could be integrated into their existing production line that would inspect for breakout along the part line and relay back to the customers PLC when there was a parting that was out of tolerance.
